Windmill Road Facility
The Windmill Road facility accepts:
  • Leaves
  • Grass
  • Topsoil
  • Sod
  • Wood
  • Manure
  • Brush 
  • Limbs

There is no charge to private citizens for drop off of a pickup truck size load (or less) of uncontaminated composting materials. Commercial and government users may drop leaves, grass, ground wood, and topsoil at no charge.

Businesses dropping off pallets will be charged $.25 per pallet.

Starting July 1, 2012, there will be a fee of $15.00 per cubic yard to drop off manure from businesses or residents.  The 1st pick up load or 3 cubic yards is free per day.

Satellite Facility
The Satellite Facility located on North College Dr. (near the intersection of Fox Farm Rd.) accepts:
  • Residential and commercial grass and leaves
  • Residential brush, limbs, wood wastes (cut less than 8 ft.)
  • No sod, soil, manure, or commerical wood wastes accepted at this location.
  • No product sales at this location.


Materials Not Accepted
The Sanitation Department does not accept yard waste with solid waste. Section 8.44.040 of the City Code requires proper disposal of such contents. Contact the Sanitation Department at (307) 637-6440 for more information.

Other items not accepted:

Materials treated with clopyralid pesticides.

Painted or treated lumber, railroad ties.

Loads mixed with trash or unlike materials.

Tree roots or trunks larger than 12" in diameter need to go to the landfill.
