Water Conservation

• From April 15 through October 15, no watering between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. - source: Wise Water Use Plan

Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention 

• What are cross-connections?

• Backflow prevention devices are required and must be tested on all new construction. - source: BOPU rules and regulations for Cross Connections & Backflow Prevention.
• The BOPU enforces annual testing on all water connetions classified as high hazards for backflow. These connections include commercial, industrial and residential properties wit a potential cross connection such as a well. Service Lines, Meters and Meter Pits

• Meters required for all water use. - source: City Code
• Customers are responsible for maintaining service lines (including meters, pits, stopcocks) connecting their premises to the main in good repair and protected from freeaing. - source: City Code
