The Housing & Community Development (H&CD) Office provides home rehabilitation for low-moderate income Cheyenne residents.

The H&CD Office also administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program in accordance with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR Part 570.  Agencies with a 501(c)3 who work with the city's low income population may qualify for these funds.  The yearly application cycle begins in October. Occasionally funding becomes available throughout the year for general service out of cycle projects.

CDBG has been working in Cheyenne for 40 years. 

The Fiscal Year 2017 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) is available for a 15-day comment period.  If you have any comments please submit them in writing by September 28, 2018, to 2101 O'Neil Avenue, Room 309, Cheyenne, WY  82001, or dwidauf@cheyennecity.org. 

A Public Hearing will be held on September 19, 2018, 3:30 pm at 2101 O'Neil Avenue, Room 104.

A Newsletter for Fiscal Year 2017 is available.

A Notice of Funding Available for Fiscal Year 2019 has been published. A training session is scheduled for October 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., 2101 O'Neil Avenue Room 104.  Parking is available in the Cox Parking Lot.

The City of Cheyenne Housing & Community Development Office is publishing a Finding of No Significant Impact and Request for Release of Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development for two Fiscal Year 2018 projects.  There is a 15 day comment period.  (Read More)
